AD Smith Basketball Update
A sincere thank you to all volunteers, counselors, sponsors, campers and parents who joined in for the 6th Annual AD Smith FREE Basketball clinic in December. (See Pictures Here) We had another fabulous turnout of 200+ campers and an amazing group of 25+ volunteers. A special thank you to Bev Smith and the Kidsports staff, LeDoux Insurance, Marketing and Design Solutions, Meadow View School and countless others in helping make the event such a success. It really is a team effort and we couldn’t do it on our own.
Following our Free Clinic, Burdy and I hosted the 6th Annual Kidsports K-2 Basketball series for local Kinder-2nd Graders (See Photos Here). The Annual Series hosted in January is a great introduction to athletics for young kids in the area and a lot of fun for counselors and campers alike.
We hope to see many returning faces at both events starting in December 2012J
Most Recent Lane County Real Estate Market Stats Followed by AD Smith Commentary
Final 2011 Residential Highlights (Lane County)
Comparing December 2010 with December 2011, closed sales remained the same at 230 sales. Pending sales increased 28.8% (117 v. 228) and new listings fell 5.3% (244 v. 231). See residential highlights table below.
A comparison of November 2011 with December 2011 shows an increase in closed sales from 214 to 230 (7.5%). Pending sales also grew 1.8% from 224 to 228. New listings, however, declined by 30% (328 v. 231). At December rate of sales, the 1,479 active residential listings would last approximately 6.4 months.
2011 Real Estate Summary (Lane County)
Comparing market activity for 2011 with 2010, closed sales were down 3.4%. Pending sales dipped 0.6%, while new listings saw a decline of 20.1%. Total sales volume for 2011 was $633 million, down from $702 million in 2010 (see graph on page 6).
Sale Prices
When comparing December 2010 to December 2011, the average sale price decreased by 3.3%, while the median sale price also went down 2.6%. See residential highlights table below.
Comparing November 2011 to December 2011, the average sale price rose from $191,700 to $199,100 (3.9%), and the median sale price grew from $165,500 to $178,700 (8%).
For the year, the average sale price was down 6.6% compared to 2010, and the median sale price fell 10.7%.
